Over his near 30 year career, Mr. Coppola's most notable success was his appearance in the Chicago and Las Vegas companies of the Tony Award winning musical, Jersey Boys, where he understudied and performed the role of Frankie Valli of The Four Seasons, as well as served as the production's dance captain.
Performing since the age of 6, he has had the good fortune of appearing on the stages of some of the top regional and Off Broadway theatres in the US. Among them: The Duke Theatre, the Promenade Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Goodspeed Opera House, Stages St. Louis, Ravinia, and the Marriott Theatre. Career highlights include appearing on the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and sharing the stage with Tony Award winners Patti LuPone and George Hearn.
JMC has also been seen on tour throughout the United States, Canada and Europe, in productions such as She Loves Me, 42nd Street, Flight of The Lawnchair Man, Hot Shoe Shuffle and Singin' in the Rain.
In 2013, JMC took a hiatus from theater projects to concentrate on his producing, directing and choreographing pursuits, specifically the touring sensations THE FOUR C NOTES: Recreating the Music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, which he created in 2013 and his solo concert, A JERSEY VOICE: Sinatra to Springsteen...and Everyone in Between.
As of June 2025, he is back 'in the market' for theatre, TV and film projects. Currently unrepresented, he will update his agents details as soon as he is booked with one.

A JERSEY VOICE: SINATRA TO SPRINGSTEEN...AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN is the solo concert venture created by John Michael Coppola of Chicago's long running hit, Jersey Boys. Since its debut in 2011, it has taken on many different forms as it's made its way from traditional venues, to outdoor festivals, to intimate cocktail parties.
TRADITIONAL VENUES: As it debuted, the performance has a 'big band cabaret' feel, with a few stories about the journey of JMC moving his family from New Jersey to Chicago to be part of Chicago's Jersey Boys. Featuring song selections from the 1940s through today, this version of the concert set list includes hits made popular by such artists as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and of course, a few from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
FESTIVALS: As an outdoor festival presentation, the stories are dropped to focus more on the music, as this option covers even more artists decades geared to attract festival attendants within a wider age demographic. The set starts with Sinatra and his contemporaries and progresses into artists such as Michael Bublè, Frankie Valli, The Beatles, The Ides of March and The Blues Brothers (to name a few...)
COCKTAIL / PRIVATE PARTIES: Performed with either a piano or small combo, JMC gives homage to the original ‘Jersey Boy’, Mr. Sinatra, with the songs he made popular being the “vocal point”. As the brand is still 'and everyone in between' a few contemporary artists do have their moments to shine, mostly via their lighter fare, such as Billy Joel and Stevie Wonder.
No matter which format you choose for your event there is no doubt that this is one great evening of entertainment, audiences are sure to love!
